A428 Caxton Gibbet to Black Cat Project

Full steam ahead for Riverside Miniature Railway 🚂💨
We recently announced the six amazing groups in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, that have received funding from our Community Fund! 🎉
One of those organisation’s is Riverside Miniature Railway, an amazing community miniature railway in the heart of St Neots.
This funding will support the installation of new technology, enabling real-time train location monitoring. This upgrade will take safety to the next level and allow the railway to expand its operations – running more trains and welcoming even more visitors for unforgettable rides. With the track set to grow to an impressive 456 metres, there’s never been a more exciting time for this beloved community attraction!
Over 83,000 passengers have already enjoyed the magic of Riverside Miniature Railway, and we’re thrilled to see how this funding helps them continue to grow.

Giving back to our local community

RMR is a community railway. We are very grateful for the support we receive and in return, we like to support others. This year we have supported:

  • The Mayor’s Charity fund
  • Little Miracles
  • Priory Park Infant School
  • Raffle prizes for various other schools and organisations

We are also proud to work with Switch Now

Please click on the above link to find out more about this fantastic organisation which aims to provide supported training and work experience, for young adults with learning difficulties / disabilities, to develop employability skills, with the objective to be ‘work ready’. Switch Now support the railway by volunteering at our Wednesday Working Party.

RMR are grateful for the support of……

We are incredibly proud to have again been awarded a Green Flag Community award. The award is the international quality mark for community projects in parks and green spaces. RMR is the first miniature railway in the country to receive the award. Further information can be found at www.greenflagaward.org

We are always looking for volunteers to help run and maintain the railway, if this is something that would interest you, please get in touch.

Access-i-belle, our inclusive railway carriage is available. Access-i-belle was generously donated to RMR by Rotary International. The carriage is able to take a wheelchair & two accompanying passengers.
